Job Title: Mid to Senior-Level Data Analyst/Data Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid to Senior-Level Data Analyst/Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Databricks, Power BI, and advanced SQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, ETL development, and managing end-to-end data processes. This role also involves working with Azure Data Factory (ADF), ADO and advanced capabilities in Databricks and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust data models using facts, dimensions, Snowflake, and Star Schema principles to support analytics and reporting.
  • Design, build, and optimize ETL processes to integrate diverse applications into Azure Data Lake.
  • Create and manage scalable data pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF) while leveraging Azure DevOps (ADO) for workflow orchestration and automation.
  • Utilize Databricks to implement and manage Lakehouse architecture, optimize computes, and configure workflows and triggers for efficient data processing.
  • Build interactive and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports using custom templates, calculated columns, DAX, and advanced SQL, while managing direct query and import modes for optimal performance.
  • Leverage SQL for advanced querying, including the use of Windows functions and Common Table Expressions (CTEs), to analyze and transform data effectively.
  • Write and maintain Python and PySpark code for data transformation and pipeline enhancement.
  • Troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure high reliability, accuracy, and performance of data operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and deliver actionable insights.
  • Present complex data findings effectively through storytelling, visualization, and clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline).
  • 4-5 years of experience in data analysis, engineering, and visualization.
  • Proficient in SQL (including advanced functions like Windows functions and CTEs) and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services, including Azure Databricks, ADF, and ADO.
  • Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, custom templates, calculated columns, and direct/import modes.
  • Advanced skills in Python programming and PySpark.
  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques (Snowflake, Star Schema).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure Certified Data Analyst or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Health care is a plus.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics is a plus.
